A little bit about me.

I’m a landscape photographer currently based in Surrey (U.K.), with a passion for shooting woodland images. Nothing quite compares to the serenity you feel in a foggy woodland, early in the morning, with no sounds other than the the dawn chorus and the creaking of the trees as they respond to the morning sun. I’m always captivated by the ever modulating tapestry created by the trees as they change from season to season; day to day, even. The constantly shifting relationships of shapes, colour, texture and contrast, meaning that with every repeat visit to a location, new images reveal themselves, sometimes only fleetingly.

No visit to a woodland (or any other beautiful location, for that matter) is ever wasted, as the real joy comes from being out in the open air. Photography just gives me the reason to get up and get out, whatever the weather, and I never regret doing so.

If I’m not wandering the woodlands, I’ll usually head for the mountains where along with the obvious photographic opportunities, I can indulge in two of my other great passions - hill walking and rock climbing.
